daal' mist (Shetland)-mist which gathers in the valleys overnight and is exhaled when the sun rises.*
Mist. Mystical. Magic.
This time of year the mist fills the valleys, rolls across the fields, and dances between the trees. It blocks all that is not near, is not immediate, from view. Pulling us downward and inward, removing distractions, and asking us to focus on what is near, at hand, at heart. It blurs the boundaries between...objects, time, worlds.
